Prahar
A clock framed as a garden in silver. A fanned gold-and-silver crest rises above a dial ringed in fine engraving, set within a heart-shaped body worked in colourful meenakari leafwork, with peacocks in deep blue at the corners, and gold sunflowers and elephants scattered through the vine. The enamel is carried across the whole frame, so the timepiece sits like a painted panel with the dial at its centre.

The Detail
Worked entirely by hand in Jaipur, the piece turns an everyday object into a decorative centrepiece: peacocks and flowers raised in enamel, gold lifting the crest and base, a working dial held within. It is made to keep time, and made to be looked at while it does.
