The Detail

Richly engraved silver with a domed ring handle, its surface a dense field of hand-worked pattern crowned by two jewelled peacocks in gold and enamel. Golden bead tassels fall along both sides; a beaded strap in green and gold hangs beneath. The heaviest gestures and the finest, on one piece.
