Gajgamini
A water bottle carrying a procession of elephants. Against a deep cobalt ground, gold elephants move among a flowering vine of silver and gold, framed above and below by wide bands of fine engraving. The blue holds the centre while the silver collars keep the form clean, so the enamel reads like a painted panel wrapped around the bottle.

The Detail
Worked entirely by hand in Jaipur, the piece brings a note of the royal to an everyday object: elephants raised in gold, a cobalt ground worked in enamel, silver framing it like the border of a miniature. It is made to be used, and made to be seen using.
