Chandrika
A throne shaped by a single sweeping arch. The tall, rounded backrest rises in a half-moon of dense floral nakshi, worked almost entirely in silver so the engraving itself becomes the ornament, broken only by a jewelled medallion at the crown and a pair of enamelled pomegranates at the shoulders. The railed seat sits within turned silver posts, its floor finely matted, and the base steps down through a band of scrollwork lit with soft gold blooms, raised on sculpted claw feet.

The Detail
Worked entirely by hand in Jaipur, the piece is an exercise in restraint: where other thrones lead with colour, this one lets the depth of the engraving carry it, with jewel and gold used only to mark the points that matter. It is a quiet, monumental seat for a deity.
