Ratnamanjari
A throne built around a single jewel. At the crown of the arch sits a ruby cabochon, ringed in fine stonework and hung with a small drop, held within a scalloped backrest that blooms in emerald and crimson meenakari over silver. The enamelled vine curls the full width of the arch, gathered at each lower corner into a pomegranate of red and green, while gold picks out the edge and the fine beading that frames it. Below, the railed seat is worked in soft silver engraving with a single enamelled medallion at its centre, and the base turns to a band of fluted gold, raised on sculpted feet.

The Detail
Worked entirely by hand in Jaipur, the piece sets the studio's brightest enamel against a quiet engraved ground, so the colour reads as the whole event and the silver holds it in place. It is a seat made for a deity, and made to be looked at closely.
