Kamalasana
A throne made for a deity, and made with the reverence that asks for. At its heart sits a gold lotus in full bloom, flanked by two guardian elephants and crowned by a hanging jhumar that catches the light above the seat. The backrest rises in dense, hand-worked nakshi engraving, its silver scrollwork lifted by gold roses and finished with peacocks in deep blue and green meenakari at each shoulder. The tiered base, railed and scalloped, carries the same unbroken floral hand across every face, down to the sculpted feet.

The Detail
Worked entirely by hand in Jaipur, the piece brings together the full vocabulary of the studio: raised nakshi engraving, hand-applied meenakari enamel, semi-precious stone accents, and gold detailing in electro pen plating over a silver ground. It is a resting place for the divine that carries its own quiet authority in a home.
