Kumudini
A thali that opens like a flower. Every ring of the plate is worked in fine silver openwork and set with deep pink cabochons, radiating out from a jewelled lotus medallion at the centre to a scalloped, bell-hung border at the rim. The set is complete for daily ritual: two tall tumblers, a lidded box, a bowl, a spouted diya, and a spoon, each carrying the same pierced floral hand and pink stonework as the plate itself.

The Detail
Worked entirely by hand in Jaipur, the piece treats an everyday ritual object as something to be dressed in full: colour carried edge to edge, silver pierced until it reads as lace, symmetry that holds the whole together. It is made to be used, and made to be seen.
