Guldasta
A box gathered like a bouquet. Its heart-shaped lid is crowned with a raised cluster of gold roses, a few small enamelled blooms set at their centre in red, blue, and violet. The deep silver sides run in scrolling acanthus, scattered with more coloured flowers and finished on sculpted leaf feet, so the whole box reads as a posy caught in silver.

The Detail
Worked entirely by hand in Jaipur, the piece turns a serving box into an offering: roses raised in gold, ornament carried around every side, a heart shape that makes it as much a gift as a vessel. It is made to serve, and made to be given.
