Suvarna Vel
A place setting worked in a running vine of gold. A rimmed plate and three bowls carry the same border throughout: a creeping silver vine on an oxidised ground, set at intervals with full flower-heads lifted in gold. The centres are left plain and mirror-bright, so the ornament stays at the edge and the setting reads clean where the food will sit.

The Detail
Worked entirely by hand in Jaipur, the set brings designer detail to the everyday act of dining: engraving held to the rim, gold used as punctuation rather than cover, silver kept usable at the centre. It is made for the table, and made to be eaten from.
