Shringar Yugal
A pair made for the ritual of adornment. Mirror and comb are worked as a set, each crowned with a peacock in blue and green meenakari and carried on a handle of gold scrollwork over silver. The mirror is ringed in fine beaded and floral engraving with a bloom at its crest; the comb answers it with the same peacock, the same gold-worked stem, down to a flower medallion at the base. Together they are the pieces with which a deity is dressed and cared for.

The Detail
Worked entirely by hand in Jaipur, the set treats a small daily act with full attention: two objects made to match, colour held to the peacock, gold and silver balanced across both. It is made for devotion, and made as a pair.
